WOODEN PALLET

Wooden pallets are made from raw wood materials, which undergo drying and shaping processes to reduce moisture and eliminate internal stress. They are cut, planed, end-trimmed, edge-trimmed, sanded, and otherwise finished to form profile boards. These profile boards are fastened into semi-finished pallets using nails with anti-pull features (sometimes nut structures are used). Finally, they undergo finishing, anti-slip treatment, and wax sealing. Wooden pallets are the most widely used pallets today. A pallet is a horizontal platform device used for storing, stacking, handling, and transporting goods and products as unit loads. Generally made of wood, metal, or fiberboard, they facilitate the loading, unloading, and handling unit loads and small quantities of goods.

Wooden pallets are the most widely used today because they are inexpensive and sturdy.

Types of wooden pallets

Flat pallets:
Flat pallets are almost synonymous with pallets. Whenever pallets are mentioned, they generally refer to flat pallets, as they have the broadest range of use, the most significant quantity, and the best versatility.

Column Pallet:
Column pallets are divided into fixed and detachable types. Their basic structure consists of steel columns at the pallet's four corners, with horizontal beams connecting the tops of the columns to form a frame. The main functions of column pallets are to use the columns to support heavy items and stack them high; second, to prevent the goods placed on the pallets from collapsing during transportation and loading/unloading.

Box pallets:
Box pallets are pallets with side panels on all four sides. Some box pallets have a top panel, while others do not. There are three types of box panels: fixed, foldable, and detachable. The side panels can be board-type, grid-type, or mesh-type. Therefore, box pallets with grid-type side panels are also known as cage pallets or warehouse cages. Box pallets have strong protective capabilities, preventing collapse and cargo damage; they can accommodate irregularly shaped goods that cannot be stably stacked, making them widely applicable.
